Bristol Zoo gorilla statues raise £427,000 for charity
The auction of WOW! Gorillas took place in Bristol at the end of Septemebr 2011 with money raised going to Bristol Zoo, their conservation project in Cameroon and the Wallace & Gromit Childrens Hospital appeal.
'Gareth' (No 42, "Lipstick on the Gorilla") our gorilla fetched £8k which is great news. £427,000 was raised in total - a great achievement for all concerned with 'Gareth' featuring on the bbc website: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-15113820
