Stride Treglown Appointed for Refurbishment of Eastleigh House

Stride Treglown has been appointed for the refurbishment of the future new headquarters for Eastleigh Borough Council in the centre of Eastleigh.

Eastleigh Borough Council aims to be more accessible to the public, save costs in the long term and utilise a building more suited to the number of staff they employ. About 320 staff will move into the improved and more sustainable building in the town centre. The move will cost less than repairing their current building and will place the Council in a building more suited to their needs.

Eastleigh House will require a full refurbishment including a Customer Service Centre on the ground floor, a new façade and new building services.

The refurbished building is expected to achieve a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating as a minimum also targeting an EPC rating of B.

Stride Treglown has been chosen out of 70 applicants as the preferred company and will be providing architectural, town planning, landscaping, BREEAM assessor, project management and CDM-C services. The team will be supported by WSP (MEP Services), Davis Langdon (Quantity Surveying) and Integral Engineering (Structural Engineering).
