Time Capsule Time-Lapse DVD

Stride Treglown has produced a DVD showing time-lapse footage of the construction of The Watermark, a‚ £4.1m library and community resource centre in Ivybridge, Devon.

The DVD was placed in a time capsule that was set into the structure on February 29th 2008.

The local community was asked to submit ideas for the content of the time capsule and the final selection was decided by the town clerk Lesley Hughes, Cllr Carol Beeson and project manager Debbie Stewart.

"We are placing a time capsule within the structure to capture what life was like in Ivybridge in 2007", said project champion, Cllr Carol Beeson.

The new centre, designed by Plymouth architects Stride Treglown, will be a landmark building when it is completed in April. Project architect Sarah Lee commented, "This has been a great project to work on, and we've been enjoying working closely with Ivybridge in building a library and resource centre that works for the community".
