Stride Treglown has expanded its UK presence by acquiring Tektus Architects in Bath. The merged offices will now trade as Stride Treglown Tektus and will be based in Oldfield Road.
Stride Treglown is joining up with Tektus to strengthen its offering and presence in Bath. Director of Tetkus, Philip Fawkner-Corbett, worked for Stride Treglown before leaving to start Tektus 23 years ago. Tektus associates David Middleton and Stuart Currie also formerly worked for Stride Treglown. Now, with a strong presence in Bath and a great insight into the local marketplace they decided to accept an offer to join forces with Stride Treglown which has recently opened a Bath office headed up by director Dominic Eaton.
The newly merged office is now 16 people strong and has just won a commission with Cowlin Construction to act as design/build architect for the‚ £10.5m 4-West buildings at the University of Bath.
Kevin Steer, Chairman, "We're always looking to develop our regional offices to increase our network and make our business as strong and competitive as possible. When we come across great companies that are interested in joining forces, like Tektus, it makes sense to work together and strengthen our offerings. Our Bath office has shown real growth since we opened it and we believe that this move will only add to that. Of course it helps that the senior staff at Tektus have worked for Stride Treglown before, and we're delighted to be working with them again. "
