Planning Permission Granted For Student Residences In Preston

Stride Treglown Architects has secured planning approval for a new £13m student residence scheme on behalf of developer contractors Marcus Worthington Ltd.  The new 13 storey tower in Corporation Street will dominate the western approaches to Preston City centre.

The elegant glass clad tower will house 275 student bedrooms and studios. Its base is a double height podium containing a bar/restaurant, student social spaces and a replacement chapel for the existing City Mission.

Work is expected to start before the end of the year with completion due in summer 2012.
