Stride Treglown Architects has announced a merger with Manchester-based architectural practice, EK Architects Ltd.
Despite the testing times, Stride Treglown’s Manchester office has grown steadily and the practice has a strong national reputation for schools and higher education schemes. Recent successes include new eco-residences for Liverpool University worth £45 million, as well as a £13 million student residential scheme in Preston. The company are now hoping to develop and expand on this success by teaming up with EK, who have strong experience within the education sector in the region.
Joining Stride Treglown at their Manchester office is the EK Architects team, David Cullearn, Jenny Cullearn, Bob Ward, Richard Gill and Simon Davies.
Stride Treglown chairman Bob Whittington said; “With EK’s experience in the Education and Hotels sectors and our national experience and size, we feel there are significant opportunities to win further work in the North West. We are already working to make the most of this opportunity and hope the partnership will help us to gain strength in the sector and increase our exposure within the market place. Welcome to David, Jenny, Bob, Richard and Simon.”
EK Architects Director David Cullearn also commented; “We’re delighted to join Stride Treglown Architects and look forward to building on their successful reputation.”
