Concept Design For The Tropicana Weston Super Mare

Stride Treglown have prepared a concept design for the regeneration of The Tropicana, a seafront leisure attraction in Weston super Mare.

The building, which was originally opened in the 1930's as an open-air lido, and was then refurbished and launched in 1980's as The Tropicana. The building has been vacant for 10 years and local people are keen for it to be redeveloped in support of the ongoing regeneration of the seafront and surrounding areas.

Stride Treglown are one of three architects to have submitted outline drawings to The Nightingale Group, who are bidding to North Somerset Council to become appointed for the development. The designs are being displayed at Nightingales Estate Agency offices in the town centre and the general public are being given an opportunity to meet with architects and review the designs, leaving comments, which will all help to inform the local council.

Stride Treglown's design has gone on show for two weeks, from 13th September and has so far received positive support from local residents.
