Motor Transport Workshops
Our team designed a series of Motor Transport Workshops for Defense Estates to service their fleet of vehicles on several sites. Each building is designed to accommodate the particular servicing requirements of the camp and typically includes servicing bays, repair workshops, stores and offices. External works cater for refueling, vehicle washing and parking.
British Forces Post Office
This central sorting office for all forces mail in the UK included a 7200 sq.m.12m high sorting hall. Adjacent to the hall are service rooms, two storey offices and a staff dining facility. Externally there are extensive vehicle delivery and parking areas.
The brief was to design a complete mail sorting process and we worked closely with the sorting machine designers to achieve the optimum layout. The project was won in competition as a stand-alone-prime contract.
Fire Station
As part of an extensive airfield redevelopment this fire station was designed to accommodate three rapid response fire recovery vehicles. The building included offices, crew rooms and sleeping accommodation.
