Stride Treglown has designed a number of nurseries for children of MOD personnel. To meet the MoD's commitment to sustainable construction, the naturally ventilated, timber framed building features solar water heating, rainwater harvesting, a wind turbine and a sedum roof.

One scheme was designed to accommodate up to 54 children aged between two and four years of age.

We have also designed a new build nursery to accommodate 118 children with provision for another 147 children in Phase 2.

This L-shaped building includes playrooms for different age groups, each with direct access to an external playground. All child occupied spaces are naturally ventilated and lit. The building has been designed to achieve a DREAM 'Excellent' rating.
