Stride Treglown designed the new 19,500 sqm headquarters for Bristol based solicitors Burges Salmon which forms the centrepiece of a major urban regeneration scheme adjacent Temple Meads station.
Its prominent waterfront location and undulating terracotta, zinc and glass façade make it an individual and exciting new addition to the Cities business quarter.
Six storeys of office accommodation and food/drink offers are planned around a long, central atrium. The atrium is crossed by a huge entrance 'slot' which houses a spectacular six storey helical stair and forms one of three key axes illustrated by the site's original masterplan.
This light, airy space maintains a visual link for those outside the building whilst a fifth floor terrace affords stunning panoramic views across the city for staff and clients.
Our interiors and graphics teams have been also closely involved in realising the scheme.
