For this project the design challenge lay in meeting the special requirements of judicial processes. Our interior provides separate entrances and routes to courtrooms for judges, juries, defendants and the public.

In addition to five main courtrooms and District Judges' Chambers, there is also a Child Case courtroom. The first of its kind in a new court complex, the courtroom design focuses on the needs of children during legal procedures.

As the first new-build court complex to have naturally ventilated courtrooms, the building is believed to be the greenest of its type in the UK.
