The project consisted of constructing a new 2 storey 20,000sqft side extension to the existing building to increase the Sales floor capacity on the ground floor and provide a new re-located and enlarged 242 cover Customer Restaurant within the building. In addition a 2 storey front Atrium was constructed to connect the ground and first floors via travelators and customer lift. A new steel framed 150 space decked car park was also installed over the existing grade level car park to increase parking numbers on the site and connect both parking levels to the new 2 storey sections of the building. The entire car park layout and acess road geometry within the site was re-designed in order to accommodate the new parking arrangements and ramp up to the decked car park.

Internally the entire store was re-branded and re-configured to the latest standards including all of the counter areas and bakery and externally the new side and front extensions were finished in a variety of modern , yet sympathetic high quality materials such as zinc cladding, natural slate ,granite stone and red cedar cladding , whilst the existing PFS was refurbished to bring it in line with the client's latest thinking.
