This 17 storey development of 1300 student bedrooms along with a social block featuring a café and exercise studio forms part of the university's Phase VI campus site.
As contractor's architect to Norwest Holst, Stride Treglown developed the scheme after conditional approval had been achieved from Hillingdon Borough Council, and acted as lead consultant to produce full coordinated working drawings for construction up to completion on site.
The scheme was built using a combination of pre-cast concrete "twin wall" construction and metal stud framing chosen for speed of construction, durability and quality. The buildings were faced with aluminium rainscreen cladding, through-coloured render and facing brickwork.
