Piccadilly Gardens are the major green space within Manchester city centre and their re-modelling is one of the most high profile projects undertaken by the city council during the run up to the Commonwealth Games.

Stride Treglown is part of a design team - including Arup, EDAW and Japanese architect Tadao Ando which has re-designed the existing gardens integrating / extending the existing bus station and Metrolink lines into our solution. A major office development has also been accommodated within the scheme.

We have worked closely with Ando's office to design and detail the striking concrete, steel and glass pavilion which encloses the gardens, forming a gateway on the southern edge.
