The University of Reading Halls and Catering provision will replace and increase facilities, within the Whiteknights Campus.  Our Access Consultant advised on the provision of inclusive accommodation and catering facilities.

The task of Access Consultancy included; advising on the relationship between design and management of the premises when complete; identifying a qualitative approach to provision; establishing the quantity of provision; advising the design team on  access, flats, rooms, en-suites and kitchens; devising layouts that enabled "knock through" adaptability from basic room provision and setting up an Inclusion Register, to help the client keep track of the issues that we identified and enable them to arrive at decisions that anticipated implications for management and the impact on disabled people.
