Our Chartered Building Surveyors have an in depth understanding of 'The Party Wall Etc Act 1996'. The Act, which also deals with excavation adjacent to an adjoining building on a boundary, is designed primarily to avoid building disputes between neighbours. The act also contains procedures aimed at resolving disputes. 

We can confirm whether the proposed building work is governed by the Act and we'll give expert advice, either to a Building Owner who wants to proceed with building work, or to an Adjoining Owner who has received a Party Wall notice.
