At Stride Treglown, we recognise that our national heritage is one of our most valuable assets. We take a sensitive approach to the preservation and regeneration of our built environment and our first task is always to ensure we understand a buildings historic and architectural significance.
Our experience extends to every type and scale of conservation work (and all listed grades) and ranges from the grandest castle to the humblest greenhouse and from church spires to Victorian public toilets.
The historic building conservation service is provided by conservation qualified chartered building surveyors and architects, some of whom are also accredited in conservation.
Our architects are experienced in preparing designs for new work in sensitive and historic environments and their designs for extensions and adjacent developments always complement and respect the existing structures. Our conservation surveyors, who also appreciate the aesthetic qualities of historic buildings, are highly skilled in conducting historic building surveys and in specifying and managing appropriate repair work contracts and maintenance programmes.
The Stride Conservation Team can provide a complete service including the preparation of historic building assessments / statements of significance, conservation management plans, historic building impact assessments, conservation area appraisals as well as prepare and manage planning and listed building consent applications and provide ad-hoc specialist conservation advice.
