Holy Trinity is a fine and complete example of a Grade II* Listed Victorian Parish Church, constructed of local stone with a Welsh slate roof. It has the typical large stone porch which leads under the bell and clock tower into the nave and the rest of the church, where there are some superb stained glass windows.
Stride Treglown were appointed to prepare the detailed design for the partial re-ordering, which converted part of the nave to provide a new parish office, kitchen and toilets, with community and choir space provided on a new mezzanine floor, which also serves to provide overflow space for church services.
In order to minimise the visual effect of reducing the length of the nave, and to allow the 'overflow' congregation to be part of a service the spacial division was provided by 21st century full height clear structural glazing. This new glazing was visually connected to the original building by etching copies of the decorative motifs (as found on the original font) as manifestation on the new glazing.
