The Roland Levinsky Building is iconic, linking the University to the City, using  many types of finishes including exposed internal concrete and an internal multi-storey atrium.

The Stride Treglown CDM team worked closely with the designers and contractor to enable the use of these varied materials, ensuring that construction and maintenance is carried out safely.

Our CDM experts advise on construction health and safety risk management, and manage the flow of health and safety information between Clients, Designers and Contractors, focusing on the following:

  • Assessment of designers and contractors for competence adhering to the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992
  • Ensuring that health and safety is an integral part of the design, construction and management of design projects
  • Improve planning and management to identify hazards so that these can be eliminated or minimised and properly managed
  • Encourage co-operation and co-ordination, emphasing the importance of competence at all levels

We have provided CDM Co-ordinator services for twelve projects for the University; from small refurbishments to major new build projects including; lecture theatres, leisure and fitness centre, laboratories, offices, catering, a planetarium and general academic spaces.
