Stride Treglown Management was appointment as project managers to this new build 420 pupil Pathfinder BSF primary school that is being constructed on part of the existing junior school site.

The client's brief was to amalgamate the Foxhole infants and junior school into one primary school, which was to be built on the junior school site. The design process commenced immediately which involved a structured consultation with all the stakeholders, staff, pupils and parents.

A formal DQI process was used to inform the design and client priorities for the project. The new school is to be completed in 3 phases to enable the new building and extensive landscaping remodelling to be delivered whilst the existing school is still in operation. The design of the building together with a number of other wider deliverables has enabled the project to obtain a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating.

The project includes extensive remodelling of the external areas of the school which include formal and informal landscaping, external dining areas, a fenced junior sized all weather football pitch and the remodelling of the external areas to provide a new grass sports pitch.
