Stride Treglown has forged a successful working relationship over a number of years with Grenville College in Bideford. This relationship began with Stride Treglown securing a Local Plan residential housing allocation for approximately 12 hectares of land on a portion of the College's Moreton Park Campus. Following this, and acting upon the requirements of the Local Plan, Stride Treglown then prepared the Moreton Campus Development Brief which now forms a Council adopted Supplementary Planning Document.

This Development Brief formed the framework for the submission by Stride Treglown of an outline planning application for 199 residential units, sports facilities and associated floodlighting which was subsequently granted planning permission in 2008. The project involved the management of a multi-disciplinary sub-consultant team, including property consultants, arboricultalists, highway engineers, archaeologists, legal advisors and flood risk consultants to deliver an appropriately designed solution which delivered value for the College whilst meeting their educational sporting requirements.

The project illustrates a wide planning scope - from planning policy analysis and strategic land promotion to Development Brief formulation and ultimately to securing approval of the planning application.
