Stride Treglown was instructed in 2009 by the Woodard Corporation to prepare and execute a planning application strategy to redevelop the Belvoir Road Campus, following the decision to merge Grenville College with EdgeHill School to form Kingsly School.
Following a long-standing working relationship with Grenville College in Bideford, Stride Treglown approached and managed the appointment of multi-disciplinary sub-consultants to tackle highway, ecology, archaeological, environmental engineering and ground condition surveys.
The 70 unit residential redevelopment proposals were the subject of a public consultation exercise with a manned exhibition held to respond to issues and questions personally.
Preparatory work leading to the submission of the application included the submission of a "Terms of Reference" document to the Local Planning Authority setting out the methodology to be applied and positive planning outcomes which the team were required to work towards. Working closely with retained Commercial Property Consultants, Stride Treglown has recently obtained planning permission for the conversion of 4 of the existing Edwardian / Victorian Villas located on the periphery of the redevelopment site.
These units will be marketed concurrently with the development of the site in 2010.
