Stride Treglown Town Planning worked closely with architectural colleagues to manage and deliver a Feasibility Study tasked with securing an additional 600 workstations on an employment site close to the existing Abbey Wood complex in North Bristol.

The Feasibility Study subsequently led to the preparation and submission of a detailed reserved matters application for a large office buildings comprising two wings joined by a triple height atrium providing reception, meeting rooms and staff welfare facilities including restaurant and gym.

With a long planning history, the site has partially been developed for leisure uses, however the original outline permission was still in force, allowing a streamlined planning process. With high sustainable development aspirations, Stride Treglown designed a scheme which achieved a Defence Estate Environmental Assessment Method (DREAM) rating of "Excellent" and was awarded the MoD/Bovis Award for Innovation in 2009.
