Stride Treglown were appointed in summer 2008 for architectural, town planning and landscape architecture services to develop proposals to provide enhanced facilities for sport at Oxford City Football Club, which occupies a Green Belt site in the northern fringe of Oxford.
The proposals comprised the construction of a new stadium pavilion building incorporating new main entrance and spectator turnstiles, together with the provision of a new fully floodlit full-size Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) and six floodlit netball courts on existing open recreation areas within the site complex.
The Stride Treglown planning team worked alongside their in-house architectural colleagues to design a sensitive scheme that would respect the objectives of the Green Belt and address concerns from the local community over the intensification of activity at the site and increase in light emissions within this area of Oxford.
The proposals were presented at Planning Committee and were granted Planning Permission in July 2009.
