Access Consultancy Making architecture accessible

Access, inclusion and equal opportunity for people who have historically experienced exclusion, are important objectives to be considered from the very beginning of a project.

Stride Treglown have a dedicated Access Consultancy that specialises in informing, supporting and advising clients as to how best they might achieve effective access and inclusion to and within buildings and public spaces.

Our Access Consultancy is managed by a Consultant Member of the National Register of Access Consultants [NRAC] with team members qualified in architecture and related disciplines.

We seek to work closely with clients who often have complex design requirements and need to balance capital expenditure against risk exposure, whilst also maintaining value and functionality.  We do this through enabling clients to make informed decisions with regards to design considerations, whilst helping our client's to anticipate the implications for managing properties and environments inclusively once projects are complete.

Steve Maslin, Stride Treglown’s dedicated Access & Inclusion Consultant, recently contributed to the drafting of a British Standard (BS 8536:2010) Facility Management Briefing – Code Of Practice.
